Things get complicated after he finds his ex-flame canoodling with a local gangster who hired him for a quick job, which turns into a full-scale heist. Upon its release, Jules Dassin's crime thriller became a smash hit worldwide, earning him the Award for Best Director at the Cannes Film Festival. In French with English subtitles
