Beginning on the Morning Glory East trail, bikers will ride up across the saddle, and then return by the Western Legends trail back to the starting point. This ride will take about 1.5 hours to complete.

12:00 PM - 2:30 PM - Archaeology Stewardship Site Visit

Join local archaeologists from the North Kaibab Ranger District, and Sharron Evans, regional coordinator for the Arizona Site Steward Program, for a guided tour of a magnificent archaeological site. The Catstair Canyon Petroglyph and Pictograph Site is part of Utah's Cultural Site Stewardship Program where you’ll see petroglyphs and pictographs representing thousands of years of human history.

After a very easy walk along a sandy wash, enjoy your lunch as the archeologists share their knowledge and discuss historic era and current uses of the canyon. Sharron Evans will speak about her experience with the Site Steward Program and how you too can be a good steward of our shared heritage.
Location: 78 S 100 E, Kanab, UT 84741.

3:30 PM - 5:00 PM - LDS Views on the Environment Panel Discussion

Brenden Rensink, associate director for the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies, will moderate a panel discussion on the cultural and doctrinal perspectives within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on the environment, stewardship and land use.

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Community Potluck Social

Enjoy feasting together at an outdoor Potluck Dinner Party for attendees, presenters and supporters of southern Utah’s Amazing Earthfest!

From snacks to desserts, this is a community-building event where resident and visiting festival goers meet organizers, volunteers and contributors, artists, authors, musicians and scientists who present the events that you enjoy. Whether you’re omnivore or vegan, bring your favorite home-cooked recipe and enjoy a festive atmosphere and conversation. If you’re traveling, pick up something special to contribute, if you can.

Location: Jacob Hamblin North Pavilion, on the east side of the park with on-street parking on the north end of 100 East.

8:00 PM - 10:00 PM - Chris Paul Band (Public Concert)

Rain or shine, stick around after the Potluck Social to enjoy a free concert by the Chris Paul Band as they perform a variety of musical favorites including classic rock, pop, funk, disco, R&B & country.  There will be tables at the pavilion, and you are welcome to bring your snacks, drinks (alcohol not allowed at the public park), outdoor games, or comfy chairs to enjoy the show.

9:00 PM - 12:00 AM - Astrophotography Field Workshop 2024

Nighttime photography done well is a tricky endeavor. Learn from a master how to produce stunning nighttime landscape images that include a dazzling starry night sky. This field workshop will provide practical instruction for capturing night sky images including equipment and techniques for intermediate and advanced photographers.

10:30 PM - 12:30 AM - Star Party 2024 (Saturday)

We’ll begin with a conversation about the wise use of light at night, followed by a laser constellation tour and spectacular views of deep sky objects at the eyepiece of SVO’s powerful telescopes.

Location: Jackson Flat Reservoir boat launch parking area.
