Our annual Earth Day Festival will take place Saturday, April 20 from noon-4pm at Courthouse Square in downtown Santa Rosa. This FREE, family-friendly, zero waste festival brings the community together through fun activities, live performing arts, great food, and inspiring exhibits that raise environmental awareness. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate our vibrant city and get involved by learning about solutions to address drought, climate change, and environmental concerns in our community.

Programming Your Irrigation Controller Workshop

Saturday, April 20, 2024 | 1 to 3 p.m. | Sustainable Education Garden, City Hall, 100 Santa Rosa Ave

Do you have an irrigation system at your home? Do you know how to program your controller to match site and weather conditions?

By programming your irrigation controller to match your landscape water needs you can save water and money while improving the health of your plants. Join Daily Acts, and Santa Rosa Water staff at the Sustainable Education Garden during Earth Day 2024 for a free hands-on workshop where you will learn the basic steps to program a controller, and how to use the various features.

In honor of Earth Day, each attendee will receive a free low water use plant!

Participants will also learn about additional tools and resources including weather-based controllers and weekly WaterSmart Yard recommendations that make seasonal controller programming easy and effective!

Join us to learn about:

The basic functions of an irrigation controller
How to program your controller to match the water needs of your landscape
Tools and resources to help simplify the process
*Please note that attendance for this program will be limited to 50 people and advance registration is required. A waitlist will be available should this program fill up.

Earth Day on the Greenway Creek Cleanup

Saturday, April 20, 2024 | 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. | Meet at the Olive Park Footbridge near 1698 Hazel St.

Come celebrate Earth Day’s 54th birthday on the Prince Memorial Greenway! Help with a cleanup of Santa Rosa Creek, native plant care, and trail maintenance. Afterwards, join the Earth Day OnStage festival at Courthouse Square from noon to 4 PM. Additional information can be found in the event details below.
