Schedule of Events:

4:00 pm - 5:45 pm: Renee Fleming, Voice of Nature: The Anthropocene

Kennedy Center Honoree Renée Fleming is one of the most highly acclaimed singers of our time, performing on the stages of the world’s great opera houses and concert halls. Winner of five Grammy Awards and the US National Medal of Arts, she has sung for momentous occasions from the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony to the Super Bowl. This special performance, inspired by her 2023 Grammy Award-winning album, Voice of Nature: the Anthropocene, spans classical, romantic and contemporary music, exploring nature as both inspiration and victim of humanity, with an original National Geographic Society film created to reflect the musical selections in the 2nd half.
