SCAD Sand Arts Festival

SCAD Sand Arts Festival
Friday, May 3, 2024
Free

Grab your sunscreen and dig in to sculpt spectacular structures at the SCAD Sand Arts Festival on Tybee Island, featuring fiber works by artist Thomas Jackson. SCAD students and alumni can compete solo or in teams to dazzle spectators and judges for a chance to win one of several awards.

Whether you are diving into the competition or plan to take in the sandy sights, be sure to pack sunscreen, a picnic lunch, plenty of water, and your sunglasses.

When registering, each team will be required to select a team captain and register all team members using their SCAD student ID numbers. Be prepared with all members of your team or student ID numbers before you begin the registration process.

This event, presented by the SCAD School of Foundation Studies, is free and open for the public to attend.

Alumni can use this form to register to participate or register on the day of the event, Friday, May 3, at the pier on Tybee Island. Online registration for students and alumni closes Sunday, April 21 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
