Explore ArtFest Midwest, an annual juried fine art event and Iowa's largest fine arts show
Held the same weekend as the downtown art show, ArtFest Midwest features Iowa and regional artists. Over 250 artists participate during the festival, varying in mediums and styles. ArtFest Midwest is an alternative, affordable art show - a complement to the downtown show. ArtFest Midwest reflects quality similar to that found at the original “Art in the Park” show held several years ago at the Des Moines Art Center (then moved to the Fairgrounds). Patrons with be exposed to the artwork of local and regional artists, as well as selected artists from across the country.
