ABOUT BIG NOSH

WE ARE THRILLED TO PRESENT OUR FIRST-EVER PJC BIG NOSH JEWISH FOOD FESTIVAL!

Years in the making, this event in the Steel City, celebrates Jewish food and Israeli culture. It’s also the latest addition in our renewed development effort to generate the funds needed to support the award-winning journalism our community has come to rely on from the Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle and ensure the success of the Chronicle for generations to come.

The Big Nosh Jewish Food Festival is a three-day, fully inclusive, strictly kosher smorgasbord of Ashkenazi and Sephardic favorites alongside traditional Jewish art and music. Kosher under the Vaad Harabonim of Pittsburgh, Big Nosh offers milchig and fleishig, along with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free cuisine. Led by the culinary expertise of Master Chef Judah Cowen of Elegant Edge Catering, the menu will feature a variety of dishes available for dine-in or takeout.

In its first year, we are thrilled to have the support of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, a host committee of over 19 individuals and organizations, and more than 30 corporate sponsors.
