About Turkishfest:
Two days of entertainment awaits you. A selection of the best live Turkish music, local bands, Turkish Folk Dance Groups and belly dancing performances are but a few the program will offer.
Houston is a truly cosmopolitan city and we are proud to present some of the Turkish aspects of this mosaic. Our goal is to increase, promote and foster friendships by raising the public awareness and understanding of the Turkish culture and traditions while providing entertainment and learning.
The festival Grand Bazaar, with over 20 booths and stands, offers a wide variety of handcrafts and souvenirs reflecting the art and traditions of the Turkish culture.
Let us not forget the little ones. Each year the festival dedicates an entire area to the children. There they can safely play, dance, do creative crafts and paint under the supervision of adult volunteers. Children's corner also features face painting booth, a mini stage will also be set up for the Children to enjoy story telling, music and dance.
