West Texas Book Festival

About:

The West Texas Book Festival began in 2001 and has been sponsored by the Friends of the Library throughout its existence.  During its inaugural year, the festival was chaired by Glenn Dromgoole and Jane Jones, the former of whom would continue to chair the festival for the next 17 years.  Having stepped down from being the chair, the festival continues as a means of offering the community with a great connection to a love of books and authors.

Book Festival Chair is Sandy Lowe

Special thanks for helping to organize another wonderful year of literary events for the community to enjoy.

Along with other great city celebrations of literature and illustrations, the book festival would help to keep Abilene as being one of the Top 10 Texas Bookish Destinations as stated by The Lone Star Literary Life.  Abilene is a community that values literature, and we're excited to be able to contribute to that appreciation.

West Texas Book Festival is not affiliated with AmericanTowns Media
